Cakes Photos from September 15-September 27

These past two weeks have been really busy! We've done three weddings, as well as lots of special events and birthdays. Let's start with the three weddings.

This cake included round, square, and hexagon shaped tiers with ribbon at the bottom of each. A close-up of the scroll work on the top tier is shown below.

This groom's cake topped with chocolate covered strawberries accompanied the wedding cake.

This cake, for a casual, outdoor reception was covered in chocolate brown and blue bandana print and topped with the couples' initials. (The groom is Paul Brown and his bride is Julianne...hence PB &J!)

This black and white wedding cake had each tier sitting on black-ribbon covered spacers. A new technique for us, but one that we will definitely use again.

This groom's cake with two-toned basketweave on top and dark chocolate swirls on the sides was topped with the groom's initial.

We provided cakes to enrich events as diverse as the launch of a CD, a family reunion, and a "Sip and See" baby shower.

Nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Arlington Memorial Hospital celebrated with cakes covered with precious baby footprints.

Steve Helms' CD "Nowhere but Texas" was launched with DJs and in stores on Tuesday, September 15. He took our iced sugar cookies to radio stations during the day and celebrated with this cake that looked exactly like the cover of his CD that evening with his family.

A family reunion was the perfect place to reconnect and enjoy some delicious cake. A winning combination.

A "Sip and See" baby shower occurs after the baby is born...so you get to see the sweet new baby and enjoy some of our sweet cake.

These cupcakes were a sweet "Thank You" to a doctor.

We did boys' birthday cakes from Spiderman to Elmo to Super Mario Brothers and everything in between!

Lightening McQueen and Mater make fun cake for a boy's birthday.

Spiderman climbs up this boy's cake!

Elmo spreads his arms to wish this 2-year-old a Happy Birthday!

Mario and Luigi are jumping for joy on this cake.

This baseball theme cake for a one-year-old came with the free smash cake for the birthday boy below. (Icing on the Cake furnishes a free 6" round cake with every first birthday cake!)

We've done some precious cakes for girls' birthdays...including hula girls and princesses, polka dots and peace signs.

This little hula girl cake included lots of colorful flip-flops in the border.

This girl requested a cake with her favorite Littlest Pet Shop characters.

Minnie Mouse arrived at the party along with the cookies below that were used as favors.

Hannah Montana's logo was done in colors to match the invitation to this birthday party.

This cake was for a "Glamour Girl" party.

This polka dot cake included blue "grass" around the bottom rather than the usual shells.

This girl requested lime green, a peace sign, hearts, and flowers.

What a perfect cake for a first birthday! A giant cupcake! (This cake serves about 50.)

A five-year-old requested Ariel. Her mom wanted it fancy and girly. Here's the result!

Another princess request was Sleeping Beauty. This tiered cake fit the pink and chocolate bill perfectly!

We've done lots of fun adult birthdays in addition to ones for children. We've immortalized everything from the Twilight series to the Simpsons in cake in the past couple of weeks!

Our Twilight cake included the titles of all four books as well as the image from the cover of each one.

This man's birthday cake included not only boots, a hat, and rope, but barbed wire around the sides.

This Simpson fan got exactly what he wanted for his birthday...a cake depicting his favorite TV family.

This grandfather loved the outdoors...including fishing, hunting, and farming. So...here he is peering out from the trees with his rifle between a fish jumping in the pond and a barn.
