This week we were busy with lots of adult birthday cakes. Their designs included pets, baseball, and pretty and feminine. We also did lots of birthday cakes for girls...from 13-year-olds to the younger set who like Barney, Elmo, and Hello Kitty!
Here are our adult cakes from last week. We'll begin with a beautiful lady bug baby shower and then show you all the adult birthday cakes!
This baby girl's room is being decorated with lady bugs. We made them pink rather than the traditional red and added big flowers and leaves!
This 19-year-old was a baseball player (#7). His cake included a painted #19 on the pitcher's mound.
This 26-year-old's cake included her favorite maltese sitting beside her black and white cat.
We usually do our cupcake design in bright colors, but this one we did in soft colors on a cake covered with swirls. It's very elegant looking!
This aunt is a jazz buff...hence the music notes and jazz instruments on her cake!
This TCU grad's cake is, of course, purple but also includes other bright colors, a big bow, and a sugar cookie "Happy Birthday" tag.

We did lots of children's birthdays this week, too. We had everything from volleyball cakes and cupcakes to a Barbie cake to lots of characters...like Hello Kitty, Elmo, and Barney.
This cake was for a 13-year-old who played volleyball for a team named the coyotes whose colors were burgandy and white. Our response was a design that included volleyballs, coyote prints, and a big burgandy and white bow.

Abby Cadabby waves her magic wand and delivers a happy birthday.
This Barbie birthday cake serves about 50.
This Snow White cake features yellow, blue, and red decorations to match her dress.
Dora the Explorer, Boots, and Backpack are all happy to be on this little girl's cake!
Elmo is delighted to welcome everyone to this boy's party.
This little girl's shaped Barney cake included two 6" round cakes, one with B.J.'s face and one with BabyBop's face. We know it made a beautiful display on the cake table!
B.J. on a 6" round.
Baby Bop on a 6" round.
